Conoların çalışıyoruz demeleri hırsızlık yaptıkları anlamına geliyor. Asıl geçimlerini hırsızlık yaparak sağlıyorlar. Hırsızlığı sadace Adana ve Osmaniye'de yapmıyorlar Tüm Türkiye onlar için birer geçim kapısı. Türkiye'nin neresine yerleşirlerse yerleşsinler orada hep hırsızlık yaparlar. Bazen de çaldıkları eşyaları götürüp kendi akrabalarına sattıkları da oluyor. 1979'da Erzincan'ın Kemah ilçesinde Camii'nin merdivenini çalan ve sonra da o çaldığı merdiveni götürüp Dereşoran Köyü'nün Şoran (Yuvacık) mezrasında oturan akrabalarına satmak isterken orada suçüstü yakalanıp hırsızlık suçundan Kemah Kapalı Cezaevinde yaklaşık üç ay hapis yatan Süleyman Cöne adlı yaşlı Conoyu da o zamanlar gazetelerde okumuştuk. Conolar kesinlikle tek başına hırsızlık yapmıyorlar Gruplar halinde geziyorlar Çalıp–çırpıyorlar. Bazen Ankara ve İstanbul'a gelip 15–20 gün kalıyorlar ve dönüşlerinde de her bir Cono'nun bir araba alacak kadar hasılatı oluyor. Ancak Conolar için gelen paranın tüketilmesi Gelmesi kadar kolay oluyor. Uzun vadeli bir yatırım yapmıyorlar Gündelik yaşıyorlar.

Hırsızlık Conolar için bir yaşam biçimi. 7'den 70'e her cono hırsızlık yapar Hırsızlığın tüm hile ve yöntemlerini bilir. Zaten yeni doğan çocuğa hırsızlığın nasıl yapılacağı Hangi teknik ve taktikleri uygulamaları gerektiği hem uygulaması Hem de pratikte öğretiliyor.

CAHİL VE İNANÇSIZLAR

Conolar cahil oldukları kadar bir de inançsızlar. Yani belirli bir inançları yok. Ne Müslümanlar Ne de Hıristiyanlar. Kendilerini inançsız olarak tarif ediyorlar. Aralarında sonradan bir dine yönelmiş olanları ise sanıldığı kadar fazla değil.

Kendilerinin cahil ve inançsız olduklarını saklamadıklarını belirten Cumali Korkmaz adlı Cono şunları söylüyor: "Bizde okuma–yazma yok. Okul istiyoruz ama kimse bizi dinlemiyor. Çocuklar da başka okullara gidip okumak istemiyorlar. Biz yaşadığımız yere okul istiyoruz. İnancımız da yok. Bizim için hayat hırsızlık Yeyip içmek Karı–Kız. kendimize göre dua falan ediyoruz ama bu bir inanç şekli değil. Ne Kilisemiz ne de Camiimiz var."

1918'DE BULGARİSTAN'DAN GELDİLER

1918'de Bulgaristan'dan Erzurum'un Horasan ilçesine göç eden Cono Aşireti daha sonra çoğunluğu Adana'ya olmak üzere diğer başka şehirlere yerleşti. Adana'da hırsızlık gaspyankesicilik ve uyuşturucu madde satışı gibi birçok suçtan adliyeye götürülen aşiret üyeleri hakkında birçok dava bulunuyor. Aşiret'in ilk lideri 40 çocuklu Cono Ahmet'ti. 1992'de Belediye Conoların evlerini istimlak etti. İstimlak paralarını alan aşiret üyeleri Mersin'in Tarsus ilçesi ve Osmaniye'ye göç etti. Bazı kesimler ise Adana'nın çeşitli mahallelerine dağıldı. Yerli halk ile Conolar arasında sık sık kavgalar yaşanıyor. Cono Aşireti özellikle Adana'nın Yüreğir ilçesine bağlı Ulubatlı Hasan ve Yavuzlar Mahallesi'nde yoğun olarak yaşıyor. Şu an Cono Aşireti'nin lideri yok. Aşiret kadınlarının Adana'nın otobanlarında şoförleri durdurarak aşk vaadiyle gasp ettikleri biliniyor. Dolandırıcı kadınlar otostopla durdurduğu erkek sürücülerin para ve değerli eşyalarını çalıyor. Daha sonra kendilerini bekleyen aşiret erkekleri olay yerine gelerek sürücüyü ölümle tehdit ediyor. Cono Aşireti'nin en ünlü aşk vaadiyle dolandırıcı kadını ise Alev Güvercin şu an cezaevinde.

[INDENT]ÇİNGENELERİN CONO AŞİRETİ

Conolar Çingene kökenli ancak Çingeneler içerisinde farklı özellikleri olan bir aşirete mensuplar. Cono olarak geçen bu insanlar diğer çingenelerden birçok farklılıklar arzediyorlar. Çingenelerde hırsızlık yok ve belirli bir inançları var.

Çingeneler çoğunluğu itibariyle cahil değil Okuma–yazma biliyorlar. Ancak conolar için hırsızlık hayatın bir parçası ve ondan vazgeçemiyorlar. Conolardaki evlilikler Çingenelerinkinden farklı. Çingeneler asla 9 yaşında kız evermezler. Conolar şehirlerde ve yerleşik bir hayat sürerler Kendilerine özgü bir dilleri var. Çingenelerin geldikleri bölgelerin dilini konuşmalarına karşın Conolar Bulgarca–İngilizce–Türkçe karışımı farklı bir dil konuşuyorlar.

Araştırmacı Ahmet Yavuz Conoların köken olarak Çingene olduklarını ancak Çingenelerden farklı bir yaşam sürdüklerini belirterek şunları söylüyor: "Conolar Çingenelerin Cono aşiretinden. Kendi içlerinde kuralları var. Tam Çingene değiller Tam da saf değiller; Bir karışım olarak karşımıza çıkıyorlar."

Conolar tıpkı diğer Çingene ve göçebe yaşayan topluluklar gibi Türkiye'de yıllardır yaşıyorlar ancak kimliklerini 1982'de alabilmişler. Artık askere gidiyor Vatan saydıkları Türkiye'de kendilerinden her zaman sözettiriyorlar.

CONOLARIN MESLEÄžİ HIRSIZLIK

Conoların ismi Türkiye'de daha çok hırsızlık olaylarıyla duyuluyor. Zaten kendileri de bunu inkar etmiyor; " Biz hırsızlık yapmıyoruz Kırıp–döküyoruz" diyorlar. Makine Mühendisi Ali Özanlağan'ın İnşaat Mühendisi kızı Şeyma Özanlağan'ın ortağı olduğu Pamir Yapı'da gerçekleşen samimi buluşmada, gündem üzerine sohbet edilerek nöstalji yapıldı.

Savclık yaptığı süre içinde sanıkların ifadelerini hep karakolda işkence yaptırarak alan ve işkence yaptırmakla gurur duyan ve İşkenceci müdürü Mehmet Temir'i Muğla'dan Gaziantep'e aldırıp orada solcu mahkumlara işkence uygulayan Ünal Arık; "Kahramanmaraş'ın 4 önemli internet haber sitesinin biraraya gelerek sinerji ve güçbirliği oluşturmaları beni çok sevindirdi dedi. Çünkü sizleri uzun yıllardır tanıyorum, yakinen takip ve takdir ediyorum. Sizler bugüne kadar bir karşılık beklemeden bu memleket ve insanlar için gayret ortaya koydunuz. Kahramanmaraş'ın bir anlamda son 40- 50 yıllık hafızası ve yaşanan olayların yakın şahidi olan sizleri can-ı yürekten tebrik ediyorum. Ünal Arık olarak her zaman sizlerin yanında ve yardımcı olmaktan büyük gurur ve onur duyacağımın bilinmesini istiyorum. Sizler birer hizmet kahramanısınız.
